Get involved

YESpecialists aims at involving youth workers, VET schools, local authorities and young people in general, with a focus on rural areas in Europe.

Are you…

… a youth worker?

Youth workers are at the core of YESpecialists, acting as a connection point between young people, education centres and the community. They have essential knowledge regarding young people’s engagement, challenges and aspirations.

Therefore, YESpecialists’ key activities aimed at youth workers include:

  • Participation in local ecosystem building: having a say and contributing to create cohesive communities
  • Co-creation of training workshops and materials: learning and sharing knowledge with other stakeholders and youth worker communities in Europe

If you are a youth worker coming from a YESpecialists partner region, take part in the project by contacting:

… a young person?

Young people are the reason for YESpecialists project to exist. Their well-being and connection with their environment are key elements in the whole YESpecialists concept, and the ultimate goals of the project itself. However, an increased participation and engagement is needed in order to better understand their needs and aspirations and act accordingly.

Therefore, YESpecialists’ key activities aimed at young people include:

  • Project logo contest: discover the winner
  • Voice and direct participation in decision-making processes at local level

… a VET teacher or administration staff member?

VET centres play an essential role in facilitating the relationship between the academic context, the world of work and the local reality. Associating training subjects with local challenges and empowering students to be their solution is a key aim of YESpecialists, and VET teachers and centre staff need to be part of this process.

Therefore, YESpecialists’ key activities aimed at VET teachers and administration staff include:

  • Direct contact with youth workers and other stakeholders to gather ideas and develop plans that foster entrepreneurship in the classroom
  • Participation in local ecosystem building: having a say and contributing to create cohesive communities
  • Co-creation of training workshops and materials: learning and sharing knowledge with other stakeholders and youth worker communities in Europe

… a local or regional authority?

If you work at administration or policy level in a local or regional authority in Europe, we need you! Have you identified challenges in your area that resemble the ones outlined by the YESpecialists partners? Do you have any best practices to share? If you come from a European region outside the partnership, you can still benefit from YESpecialists:
